Swim
Comments: started at the very front. had a good feeling that I would have a good swim. feel like my swim has improved this year. have always been comfortable in all swims just never really felt I was getting faster in the past. started out faster than normal to get ahead of the pack and then settled in to good pace. the first 5 or 6 of us came out of the water with a pretty good lead from the rest of the chase group What would you do differently?: not a thing Transition 1
Comments: my chip strap broke in 1 spot so I felt my chip dangling while running to my bike. I stopped for about :20 sec to make sure it would hold up the rest of the race. lost a little time doing this but I wanted to be sure it was ok What would you do differently?: not a thing Bike
Comments: bike is def the weakest of the 3 disciplines for me..i felt like this was one of my better efforts. I haven't done a sprint since 2011 so was interested to see how it felt to ride with pretty good effort What would you do differently?: maybe try to power thru it harder...just don't want to ever tap into my run bank too deep Transition 2
Comments: had a really good dismount and racking the bike.... What would you do differently?: nothing Run
Comments: really felt good on the run...I knew I had a few guys to hunt down that passed me on the bike but really wasn't sure how many there were...haven't done a sprint since 2011 so It was awesome to haul some tail in the run.. What would you do differently?: nothing Post race
Warm down: water water...stood around for a bit to get results... What limited your ability to perform faster: just getting back in to training this march leading up to imtx 70.3...haven't really don't too much training since the race in april.. started doing TRX with a trainer 2 times a week a month ago and it has really helped in all 3 disciplines Last updated: 2016-03-31 12:00 AM
