Seneca Falls, New York
United States
28F / -2C
Overcast
Total Time = 27m 32s
Overall Rank = 607/4058
Age Group = F45-49
Age Group Rank = 19/291
Pre-race routine:

Our usual... Stopped at Rasta Ranch for wine, stopped at McDonald's for a potty stop. Parked in a slightly different location, but same basic idea.
Event warmup:

None other than walking over to the bridge and jumping around trying to stay warm.
Run
  • 27m 32s
  • 3.11 miles
  • 08m 51s  min/mile
Comments:

Leslie and I (Snow Miser/Heat Miser) decided to stay together and we were successful. I was dying but I stayed with her. It ended up as a PR for her and a post-injury PR for me. It was fun!
What would you do differently?:

Not much... Not sure wine, French fries, and a candy bar are appropriate fuel, but whatever....
Post race
Warm down:

Just walking up to get our free beer!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Lack of training coming off injury.

Event comments:

This is my favorite race of the year. It's become a fun, festive family tradition.
