Drove up from Mother in laws in Raleigh the morning of. About an hour drive, very peaceful. Thinking about how to approach this as torrential rains had turned into duathlon, in which I have never participated. Would be a 5K run, the 21 mile bike, then finish with another 5K run.
Got things set up in transition, took care of morning business, then ran for about .25 mile about 5 minutes before start.
