Comments: Overall I had an okay day. My goal for today was 3hr 15min. I missed that by 10 minutes and largely attribute that too an inconsistent training schedule. I've been short on time between my 11 month old daughter and business needs: SO... my training wasn't where I would have liked and my result was a bit tougher day than expected. What would you do differently?: Better consistency in my training plan and additional 'longer' long runs in training. Hydration and nutrition where spot on for the race. I just didn't have my usual legs today. Post race
Warm down: Lots of walking after the race and return to the hotel. Water, recovery drink, snacks immediately following the race, and then some Starbucks while walking back to the hotel. What limited your ability to perform faster: Inconsistent training schedule. It was a warmer day, the heat started to be a factor in the final 6 miles due to aid stations being no more frequent than every 3.5km. Event comments: Only comment regarding drink stations: if weather was 'typical Zurich for April' the 3.5km interval of aid stations would have been fine. On a warmer day like this year, a few extra aid stations in the final miles would have helped out quite a bit. Last updated: 2018-04-24 12:00 AM

Early morning wake up for stretching, breakfast, hydration, and transfer to start line.
No real warmup; decent amount of walking to the start line from the baggage drop area.
