7.24.2020 - Friday Pioneer Day

Happy Pioneer Day to everyone with pioneer heritage.  My second Marathon was the Deseret News Marathon that is run on Pioneer Day each year.  I just checked their Facebook page and as I had guessed this event was canceled this year.  It would have been their 50th annual Marathon. 

So...enough on Pioneer Day. This morning I did a 9-1/2 mile run.  I have been out of my groove for about 2 weeks and so I wasn't really ready for this run but got it done all the same.  The effort felt relaxed and easy, but the pace was right on target with what I was doing these types of runs at 5 months ago when I was much more consistent and focused on my training and when it was 30 deg F cooler.  So this was a great run.
