The reason I asked about this is because the program I read said not to exceed 90% of max heart rate. Physically, I have no problems with the pace or the rate. 220 - age could be one of the worst ways... But some may argue. You just proved the point. No one can run at you max HR for any length of time and "feel fine". I would suggest some of the other reading (given above) and using the LT method. Or skip all that and go with what feels right (RPE method). |
