Who's racing the Gold Coast sprint this weekend?Any guesses about the weather? Forecast is kind of grim.

I'll be there.  The weather better be good, I'm hosting a family BBQ at home afterwards and I'd rather have condensation than raindrops on the outside of my Guinness.

This is my second year doing gold coast - the forecast doesn't look so good so far but by the afternoon its supposed to clear up. Have to remember to bring bug spray this year and not too swallow the water there!!

Since I couldn't do the Ironclad due to injury, this going to be my first tri and I'm keeping both eyes on the weather.  Then again, I am doing it on a mountain bike so maybe bad weather would be a good thing.  Tongue out

Here's my guess:  If it rains tonight, if we get the heavy showers predicted, they are going to cancel the swim.  They will change it to a duathlon, send us out in our current waves, only we'll run around the Park trail once, then jump on the bike, then come back in and run the trail twice.  Well, you guys will be doing that - I'm not doing a duathlon   If I lived locally, I might risk it.  But I'm not driving over an hour.

There is a very slight chance the weather system will miss us... but it looks very slight.  Looking at this radar pic from this morning, I'm not sure how this system could miss us.

good luck to all who ventured up there.

i bailed because of i'm still kind of sick and because of the weather.  my health and the weather would have had to be great today for me to head up there, but neither were.

if you went to the race, post an update.  i'm curious to know how it went, if any part was cancelled etc.

yeah the dept of health cancelled the swim so it was just a duathlon.. it was ok but I guess I"m bias because the swim is the best part for me.
