Tacx bike trainer online group rides

HOw do you have the route created?  Are you running one of the TTS software versions?  If so which one?

I downloaded a ride from Connect.Garmin.com. The download is a Google Earth file that I imported into TTS 2.06. I rode it the other day and it works great (via Real Live Training) - feels just like the course (I live in Madison and have done the IMWI bike course many many times (along with 2007 IMWI and 2009 IMWI).

I'm running TTS 2.06 and TTS 3.01 - but the ride on Sunday (01-16-2011) is TTS 2.06. We have 3 riders signed up with 3 more slots open.

I would be interested in doing this.  I have a new Bushido so I am not sure if I have the correct version software to participate with you?

Aaargh, I have a bushido but not the multi player option ?
 
Interesting in how you found and dowloaded the course from Garmin though.

Hi - I have both the TTS 2.06 and the TTS 3.01 software from Tacx. This Sunday we are going to use the 2.06 (which if you have TTS 2, then it is an easy update to TTS 2.06). We are going to ride the IMWI course from Mt Horeb thru the "3 " for 20 miles. Hopefully you have the right software - I'd love to get a number of people together to ride from time to time.

Bummer on the multiplayer option - it adds a bit of "enjoyment" to the ride.

As far as the course,

go to connect.garmin.com

click on the explore tab

type in "Wisconsin IronMan" under keyword

type in "Madison, WI" under starting near

You'll then be able to export the data in GPX or KML format

I'm still running Fortius software - although I do have a demo version of TTS 2.  I'll likely have to pass on this go round, but I may try to link into another ride.  Keep posting here when you plan to do this and hopefully I can join in.

Sounds good - hopefully can get a group together that we ride from time to time - currently have 3 riders ready to roll.

Glad to see others on BT have Tacx VR trainers.

I had an I-Magic for about 8 years, and purchased a Fortius this year. While Tacx makes a very good trainer, the software is another story. I have had all the versions of TTS 1, 2, and 3 and they all had their issues. Currently for me, TTS 3.01 is pretty stable. I mainly use it for my homeade RLVs of about 10 of my local routes.

Would like to join in the group ride sometime, but looks like this weekend is going to be nice enough to ride outdoors which I plan to do Sat/Sun. Maybe next time.
