Subject: Burning DVDs

My son this weekend broke the DVD of a movie we own. It got me to thinking, I should probably have copies of these movies in case this happens again.

Is their software available to allow me to do this?

I could tell you, but interpol would come and carry me away.

Handbrake.fr should do the trick. Some encrypting still doesn't get decoded properly though.

Rumor has it that MakeMKV works quite well on DVDs and it's free.

I have a few friends that use sly soft to rip DVD/ Blu-ray.  It works very well.

I have used both of theses as well.  I forgot about them.  But they will not do blu rays.
