Pro  4313   McKinney, TX |  Subject: Ranked #2 in the USANot me....or my blzaing fast triathlon skills...... My town! McKinney, TX was ranked #2 by Money Magazines Best Places To Live for 2012/2013. My town made the top 10 (#9) and I work in the town ranked #57. Commute to Dallas (which my wife does everyday) is about 45 minutes in rush hour and, without traffic, its about 30 minutes. McKinney has just about everything you need in town (or within about a 10 minute drive) that....unless you are commuting for work....you really don't need to drive into Dallas. There is a great tri community here too.....in fact, our mayor is an Ironman. |

One of the top 100 had a MEDIAN home price of $1.2M dollars...you can't tell me that's a "best place to live"...not for that kind of cash! And some of them are so close to each other (ahem, Brookline and Newton) that it just seems DUMB that they both get their own listing. Whatever. I'm mostly jealous because I'm pretty sure I live in one of the top 100 WORST places to live.... |
