just in from ortho doc. We are seeing way too much of each other. Probably be putting him on speed dial soon.

Anyhow..... he says we can do another set of Synvisc, and we can keep doing it indefinately. There is no downside since it is an all natural substance. Well, there is a downside, the cost, but I am lucky to have a great insurance plan that covers this. When and if the knee deteriorates enough to where the Synvisc does not provide relief, then we're talking joint replacement. OY

It's a series of 3 shots and we'll start next wednesday and then the following two wednesdays.

well, thanks for bearing with me, I feel like such a whine-a-head!

Whine away – I understand :-)

Well the good news is that he didn’t tell you to stop so take heart from that.

Hey we're here to share the whine! I have an old hockey injury that wakes up every now and then ion my left knee - It's been very slightly "twinging" lately - I will really be watching how this works for you. Keep us posted. You got courage - keepin' on and all!

thanks guys.

this stuff really works, at least for me for now it does. Otherwise there is no way in hell I'd sit there and let them inject this huge syringe full of stuff into my knee.

Mike, not only did he not tell me to stop, he whined with me. When I said "But I wanna go skiiiiiiing......." he said "I do too!" He comes highly recommended because he is interested in helping people do the things they want to do, and not telling them to hang it up.

so I'm off to use the elliptical trainer BECAUSE I CAN!

I'm happy to hear you whine, Trimom. Here, I'll whine too: I want spring, I can't ski and I want spring. Best of luck with the injections, I really hope they continue working for you.

Someone as gutsy as you can whine all you want. Anyone who can talk about knee replacements and working out on the elliptical in the same day is pretty tough in my book.
