Subject: What to wear if it's in the 50s?
I'm in the DC area, and after it was so hot and humid for the Nation's Tri last weekend, it's getting down into the 50s at night.   I have my first tri this weekend and was planning to wear my Zoot tri tank and shorts.  The swim is in an indoor pool, but I'm worried that I'll freeze to death when I get outside and get on the bike if it's in the 50s.   Should I plan to throw a biking jersey over my wet self?   Other thoughts?  Thanks!

I don't think it will be that cold this weekend.  You should be ok with the tank and shorts, you will warm up soon enough on the bike.  If you really wanted to maybe get some arm warmers, that way you can push them down when it warms up.

50's at night could be 60-65 by the time you get to the bike. If so, I would do nothing. You might be a little chilled at first, but you will warm up. If anything, I would put on some arm warmers. You can put them on easily over wet arms and you can take them off and put them in your jersey pocket very easily if you get too hot. That's what I would do and I get cold pretty easily. I am kind of a sissy that way

In the 50's, best go with a nice poodle skirt, some bobby socks and sensible flats.

Double dang on you!  I gotta read the whole thread before retorts!  Ditto on the arm warmers, maybe a long sleeve tech shirt for the bike if you dont plan on flying, otherwise, you should warm up quick.  If rain is in the forecast, that is a whole different story though.

Classic!   I'll see if I can find a nice poodle skirt to match my tri top.   Must be fashionable, you know!

If you are working hard you won't be cold, I would just go with your normal tri wear. Worry more about getting dry and warm quickly afterward as that is when you'll actually get cold.
