Subject: RE: Potential New Job and Triathlonsupa-powa - 2009-07-06 9:22 PM Yea 7 days a week for 2-3 months sounds not so good... I just finished 120 straight days of work, averaging around 10-12 hours a day (somedays were only around 4 - that's a day off in my book ). Anyway, had 2 actual days off, and am now on my 15th straight day again. This goes on for about 7 months or so. Oh, and I'm on call 24 hours just in case something happens. It ain't easy, but there's only about 300 people in the world with my job. I'm proud of what I do, happy, and I'm not planning on trading it in to be a desk jockey. If I were you though, I wouldn't do it for experience or money - do it bc you like what you're doing. You can find a way to fit the training in, but you have to really want it. Being miserable at a tough job is a recipe for burnout, and you won't want to do anything when that hits, much less train. |
