So I'm driving to work today, just about to lose the Lincoln Tunnel traffic on the NJ Turnpike, when I notice this beat up, gunmetal grey El Comino doing about 35 in the exit lane. I noticed the car more for the line of traffic behind him because he was going so slow and was thinking "sucks to be them," as I started to catch up doing about 70 (late to work again). As I zoomed past him I looked over, assuming I would see some little old person barely able to see over the steering wheel...

Nope...

It was a thirty-ish guy, playing the TRUMPET, while driving...

I eased up on my speed, just to be sure...and yep, that's what he was doing...

El Camino!!

The front is like a car,
the back is like a truck.
The front is where I drive,
the back is where I...

El Camino!!!

Better than me playin' my tuba while driving.  It wouldn't even fit in the front seat...

Part 2:

I mentioned the Trumpet playing El Camino driver to my husband when I got home from work last night. His reaction...

"Cool! That's the perfect instrument, 'cuz you can play it with one hand. I have to wait for a complete traffic jam to play my ukulele."

Sigh....musicians....

I once played my accordion in our Grand Caravan.

But I was in the back seat and my wife was driving.

You know, if you had a convertable, the tuba would be do-able.....

That is hilarious...only in NY (or NY area) right?

You don't see stuff like that in Atlanta. Only a guy that likes to wear a high school marching outfit and direct traffic while twirling a baton...he does it by my house, its quite a sight, brings a smile to my day!!!!

Tim-just tell them you're laughing at someone's looney husband and show them either of the following links.

www.ukulelelloyd.com

www.mypocketzoo.com

That should about do it!

And Pippen-I really like the tuba/convertable idea... Made me laugh just picturing seeing that on the turnpike.
