Subject: Smashing Pumpkins!!
After the long concert thread thats been going on, and yesterday's ad in the Chicago newspapers by Billy Corgan that the the pumpkins will be getting back together (YES-billy, Jimmy, James and D'arcy...) I was wondering if there are any other fans out there that are as TOTALLY EXCITED as me! I cannot even contain myself at work today...

Zwan ended before. Billy actually released a not so critically acclaimed solo album this week.

I enjoyed a lot of their music, but I am not too sure how they will appeal to today's market.

no kidding. we are celbrating after work tonight. I think they will totally appeal to today's market because all their fans from the ninties will still be listening to them now...we may be older but that just means we have more money (supposedly...) They are saying they might release their tracks via the internet and not use a recording studio which in my opinion is SUCH a good idea.

My hubby and I's first date was to a Smashing Pumpkins concert in 1996 at the Rosemont Horizon. Memories...
Now we're married, have a little boy and are domesticated. EEK.

I had spent many hours listining to Smashing Pumpkins while on deployment in the Pacific Ocean, my favorite song is Cherub Rock, matter of fact I have it on my MP3 player.

dude your avatar rocks! LOL I have this wicked live acoustic version of cherub rock from some show they did in europe in like 94 or 95. Love it. My favorite song is Mayonnaise.

One of my first dates with my husband was also to a Pumpkins show...in Dallas in 1997. No kids yet though

Mayonnaise is a good one. Probably right up there as one of my favs as well. Always had a soft spot for Today though. That song goes from so soft and peacefull and then smacks you upside the skill w/ a wall of sound in the blink of an eye! Soooooo cooooolllll.
