Subject: RE: Montreal advancesMax, I haven't paid much attention to the NHL in a while, but I was listening to WEEI this afternoon and it sounds as if the next season is going to be a bust anyhow. Contract disputes and an owner lock-out sound like they are looming. I could not care less. As long as I have my son's hockey to watch I don't need the NHL I did hear them say there were no sold out games until after February, when they did finally take some action to improve the roster. And even then it was less than a dozen games that were sold out. That's probably as close to an empty house as you'll see in Boston. People still show up for Celtics game too, right? And people showed up all those years the Patriots were in the cellar too. Kevin, I'm off to search for that article. Without even seeing it I'd guess it is favorable towards the new owner's business plan. Around here they are affectionately called "Theo (the GM) and the Trio." |
