Absolutely. It's a little of the culture mixed with location. It's interesting how multisport seem to tie in with military interests.

For those in the Army - I recommend checking out the Army Triathlon Group on Yahoo Groups. Go to http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/Army_Triathlon/. It's a list for a wide range of triathletes in the Army from beginners to Kona competitors. It's a nice networking group to meet others in your local area. All you need is an AKO account.

Technically I guess I'm still in the Army Reservers. I'm IRR so I don't drill or deploy but I do carry an ID card and have access to base privileges. I did spend 4 years active and a few active years in the National Guard. Since then I've been IRR. Over 20 years total.
