I suck at life.

It's 9pm on a Saturday night and I could be having burritos with TriComet, TriTakeMeAway, and Renee and I"m home drinking beer surfing BT. Ah..... "sob"

You suck??? I feel your pain! See my pity party on my training log for today! I worked in the lab all day. Now, at home, once I finish my spin on BT it's time to code. YIPPEE!!! What an exciting life I have as well!

Don't feel that way, honey!  You're in college.  What do you think you *should* be doing right now?

I know it sucks to be hard at work on some dry term paper when many of your classmates are out partying and getting drunk and whatever else I can't remember doing in college...  But trust me on this: there is plenty of time to party AFTER college is done.  Don't wind up in my shoes, paying student loans for classes I nearly flunked out of because I was trying to keep up with my party-roommate.  THAT TRULY SUCKS.

The worst example was when I went to the beach one weekend, and instead of going out in the nice weather, I studied electronics, semiconductors, and wrote a paper the whole weekend.

I guess I was sort of expecting people to want to hang out this weekend since it's my last weekend here before break/going abroad for the rest of the year. I forgot that it was the OSU/Mich game, which means that life stops for college football. So everyone was throwing parties, and I got invited to a few, but only to be the sober driver. I don't mind being the sober driver, I'm sober sister for my sorority a lot, but when that's the only reason to invite me...it sort of hurts. I was just hoping that people would have wanted to go see a movie or go bowling or SOMETHING, but meh, such is life. I've got the majority of my paper done . 1 more article to sum up, a little editing on my citations, then I have to finish my InDesign project tomorrow by writing 2 articles, faking some photographs, and massaging the layout. I'm doing my InD project on a triathlon newsletter!! it's pretty awesome, actually, I'm really proud of it.

Phoenix Azul, from the posts of yours I've read, you simply rock. You are thoughtful and interesting and extremely well-spoken. The hell with the 'sisters' if they do not recognize what a great human being you are.

And you tri train, c'mon, what else is there, really? Renaissance woman!

I too had a night like that yesterday. Plans to go to a party with my sister.. I waited.. did some math homework and as time passed, my early mornings and tri training got the best of me. I was off to bed long before my (younger) sister called. I need tri friends! Oh well.. I'm feeling great today.. being productive (on BT??) while they all sleep off their drinks and waste away the day. The sun is out.. I'll go for a run.
