Subject: Cell phone zapper?

Has anyone ever heard about some sort of device you can use to cut off or interrupt a cell phone call?  I was at the gym today and some idiot was on the stair master on her cell phone talking really loudly for almost 30 minutes.  Anyway, I think I heard about some device where you can send some kind of interference to interrupt cell phone calls.  It's probably illegal but, man, would I love to have one if it weren't.  Anyone heard of such a thing?

Cool!  Now that's what I'm talkin' about!  The description says it creates a "quiet zone".  That sounds wonderful!  I wonder if people actually use them in Israel?  Can you imagine being in a restuarant and having no one talking on their cell phones?  People eating together would actually have to talk to each other - imagine that!

on a similar note, a friend of mine back in undergrad who was in electrical engineering made a device that looked like a garage door opener that emmitted radar waves. It would trigger every radar detector within a 200' radius.

That was some fun on road trips
