Extreme Veteran  801   Ballston Spa, NY |  Subject: Top 3 finishers of a race get...?The wife and I are putting on a fundraiser race and are trying to come up with ideas for the top 3 male and top 3 female prizes. Every finisher gets a medal...so we are only doing the top 3...that and it's a fundraiser race! Any GOOD and cheap ideas out there? Like to be something some what unique if possible but also realize this is a fundraiser race so we don't want to spend hundreds on this. |

I would imagine may restaurants or any chain sporting goods stores would donate gift certificates for a fundraiser race. Gives them some good pub at the race finish. Offer to display their signs and talk them up really well at the post race ceremony. Meijer donated all the food for the USA Cares 5k I did on the 4th. I think all of the prizes were donated as well. |

Master 2504 Southwest Iowa | Subject: RE: Top 3 finishers of a race get...? I would ask a local merchant if they could offer something up. A restaurant or sport place are usually helpful. But, also remember that many of the small businesses are hit up everyday for something. I have a music event for every 2nd Saturday of the month and had to find a sponser for three shows and it was not too bad to find the sponsors. It should be easier for a fundraiser type of event.
