Team RWB, who dunnit?

Can't claim it, but always good to see the Team RWB mark expanding. Its an awesome organization

Also, those views are amazing. I wish I were around some more mountains. Life has been a bit flat now that I've got to the South...

It was an interesting area. Loooooong way from home. We couldn't get a flight to El Paso, so we drove it. Six and half to seven hours in the car, each way.

Team RWB is a non-profit focused on improving veterans' lives that started up a few years ago. Awesome sense of community they bring for military and non-military folk involved in. I've run for them before and plan on doing so again in the future.

We saw a few mulies and javelinas; apparently crossing roads was difficult for the coyotes and red foxes. What a place for a birder to enjoy! I saw so many species of birds I had never seen before. And the raptors, wow! Seemed like those guys were on every fence post out there.

We stopped at Balmorhea on the way out. Did not swim, but there was a guy swimming and we spoke to his friend. The water was warm and no wetsuit needed. Go see it now, in the summer it is a zoo. We did BB 2 years ago. A little different feel to the desert than Guadalupe NP. The town of terlingua is an old hippie commune. The pace is dialed way back, kind of nice except food took forever to get. Food was good everywhere we ate though. Let me know iff you need more info. Its a long azz drive to either, but worth the experience. If you never been to Carlsbad Caverns, hit it now too. The elevators are out, so the were maybe 5 other people in the cave while we were there! It's a workout coming out! Lemme know if you need more info.

Palo Duro is also on our list. We will probably hit it if a few years, Princess 2.0 wants to go to Texas Tech. Maybe do a campus visit with hiking thrown in!
