Right now, I swim twice a week with the master's swim team, run about 10-12 miles a week and bicycle twice a week (about 45 mins each time). I'll be heading outside soon for bike rides of 10+ miles.
If that's accurate, I'm sure you'd be ready for at least a sprint distance by June, probably an Olympic if you ramp it up a little. I'm using Michael Pate's Couch to Sprint in 22 weeks (free plan from BT ) to train for IronGirl in Columbia MD in August.
I went to www.tricolumbia.org and checked out last year's racing results. Based on that, I made a personal goal for August. I'm learning from the BT site that "bricks" are important, too, so maybe work on that.
Michael Pate's Couch to Sprint is designed for someone just getting started, so you could jump ahead with your running, for sure. And you could probably pick the biking up starting at about week 10 or 12 or so. Hope you find a training plan you like! |
