Usain Bolt.   9.69 .   Plus he was easing up and raising his arms at the finish.

Amazing I'm wondering how much faster he woulda been if...
a) he didn't have one of the slowest reaction times of the group
b) he hadn't slightly stumbled at the very start
c) he hadn't let up and looked around and started celebrating at around the 70m mark
d) the 100m was his specialty (apparently he's even better at the 200m!

Didn't people say that a 4-minute mile was beyond human capabilities? Now, people have to be under 4 minute mile pace to be competitive. Maybe someday we will see an 8 second 100m??

what's scary about that race was how he was celebrating well before the finish.  if he wasn't showboating, who knows what he has potential for.  crazy!

THAT was insane! I think this guy can run a 9.59 but the way he just tries to win the race soemone will probably have to push him to that limit.. not sure if anyone else out there can do that. Amazing.

He's only been running the 100 for a year!  Holy carp!  That is the most natural talent I have ever seen.  If this guy gets focussed on the 100m, he will put up a time that might be around for a long, long while.

I remember off hand people talking about 9.8 being impossible.   Don't know where...though.

Has anyone beaten Bob Hayes' 8.6 in the anchor leg of the 4x100 in the '64 olympics?

I'm curious to know what Golt's time was in the 4x100. Anyone know?
