Closest Iron Distance race

Not anymore - I believe there was an iron distance race in Boerne at one time.

I would think that Redman in Oklahoma City would be closer than Tempe is.  Not really sure.

Looks like the Redman is the one I need to start looking into. Any one you guys ever done this one? Says it limits the field to 150 participants. Does it usually fill up? That seems like a small number.

I'll tell you how it goes in 18 days! 

It did fill up this year, but I believe this is the first year it has.  The limited number of entries is due to it being the HalfMax championship this year I believe.

Thanks Jen!  It's been really tough watching all the Ironmans roll by, as I wait patiently...

Redman filled up in June I believe.

That race in Boerne was bad.  I think 15 people showed up for it.  Based on the support that RD gave to the Tall Texan, I'm not surprised his iron distance was one and done.

About 7-8 years ago they tried to bring an Mdot race to Austin.  That would have been cool!
