Subject: RE: Coming to VisitYou're in a great spot there. Depending on how far you want to run, you can either head south down Thurlow to you get to the seawall (just past Beach Ave. ) and run along the water. If you head east from there (ie. turn left ) you will go past Yaletown, BC Place, and Science World. If you continue on you can go past the Olympic Athlete's village, Granville Island and out to Kits Beach, Jericho and Spanish Banks. Turning right (west ) at the bottom of Thurlow will take you along a couple of beaches and then to Stanley Park.
If you head north up Thurlow you can reach the seawall at the other side along Coal Harbour with views to the north of North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Lions Gate Bridge, Stanley Park, Grouse Mountain and The Lions. Head west and you'll go through Coal Harbour, past all the nice marinas with a couple nice boats and get to Stanley Park. If you want to do the entire perimeter of Stanley Park it's approx. 10km.
I LOVE running along the seawall and I miss not getting to do it everyday! Hope this helps you out a bit! |
