Gingerbread cookies rock fresh from the oven when they are soft and pudgy. Within a day they are hard as bricks and you could probably replace the foundation of your house with them.

I heart cookies.  After I posted those pics I thought- hmmm...maybe I should do some baking this weekend, since I'm not trianing and all.  I love the smell of fresh baked cookies.  And you're right- gingerbread cookies get hard- they're not like Mr. Softie.

Wifey is on an apple pie kick right now. I think I've eaten like 3 pies in the last week. Gonna make me soft and pudgy.

I'm not a pie person.  I prefer cake over pie.  And sugar cookies with frosting and sprinkles on top are even better than cake IMO!

I'd have to say as far as cookies go that "Chocolate - White Chocolate Chip" cookies are my fav. If I had to go with store bought cookies, "Oreos - Double Stuff" would be at the top.

Now I want cookies...

I want some cookies too.  Instead of having a burrito for lunch, I should have gotten some cookies.  Wal- Mart usually has these awesome sugar cookies with frosting and sprinkles.  They have different colored frosting for almost every holiday.  I am betting they have some that are fall colored.  You know where I'm going after work!

The obvious solution when the cookies get hard...dunk them in MILK! Make them nice and soggy, kinda like all my favorite cereals. Then, drink the milk when you are done. YUMMMMM!

Actually I learned a good trick.  To keep cookies soft, throw a piece of bread in the container with the cookies.  The bread will get hard adn the cookies will stay soft and moist.  Sounds crazy but it works!

I don't like hard cookies,

They almost break my teeth,

They aren't as soft as bread,

Or tender as beef.

Soft cookies are the best,

Alone, or dipped in milk,

I think them frosted with sprinkles,

And the ones that shine like silk.

Soft cookies, there's nothing better
And in Wisconsin we like our cheddar
but then they sit out
Get me some milk, I shout
Because Milk will make a hard cookie softer.

WWEEEEAAAK. Oh well...

Oh no- that's better than mine.  I had to use the word beef because I couldn't think of anything else.  Now that's sad...almost as bad as using the word toe.  Lol!
