Okay, I've picked up a bunch of new albums, and want to pass along some recommendations as to the ones I really like and see what other people have locked onto recently.  Looking over my list, I'm starting to wonder about my musical taste, but hey, it works for me.

System of a Down - Hypnotize
Neil Diamond - 12 Songs
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Howl

Yeah you read that right, the second one in there isn't a joke.  It's nothing like what you think Neil would put out.  I'm the last person I thought would ever admit to liking a Neil Diamond album, but it's awesome.  Give it a listen.

Hey, I do like Neil Diamond some what - I don't belong to the current time, I like the music my Dad listens to - Went to the website and listened to some samples.  Not bad!

Other than that, if you really want to know what I'm listening to currently, I have this JS Bach Cello-Suites played by Mstislav Rostropovich.  Like it better than Yoyo Ma's version.

Good stuff.

From a completely different part of the music world, the new Ceclia Bartolli album kicks a$$!

I recently bought Lucinda Williams Live at the Fillmore......If you are a Lucinda fan, this is a must have, if you are not a Lucinda fan, you might be after hearing this one.

Not new music, but interesting, where did it come from and why?

I got the old Hooter's song And We Danced  in my head on Sunday during my marathon.

Just listened to Lucinda's new one on Rhapsody. Have to agree with you. This a must have. I had forgot how much I enjoy her music.

This might seem kind of ecclectic, but I bought the soundtrack to Stubbs the Zombie, which is some sort of video game. Anyway, it is covers of a bunch of 50's/60's songs by modern bands. For example, Cake sings "Strangers in the Night", Death Cab for Cutie sings "Earth Angel", and The Dandy Warhols sing "All I Have to Do is Dream".

It's fun and kind of different.

Oh yeah, I got that one too.  It's an incredible recording...

Awesome piece of history that got uncovered there.

Sounds cool. I'm a child of the 80s & 90s, but I do love Oldies.
