Ron/Mike,

I've notice that my bike and run volume for 2007 has dropped by about 50%.  My bike was showing over 2K, and I believe my run was near 300.  I just noticed it a few days ago.  Can you see what may have happened?  I can't swear that my swim is off, but I expect that it is about 1/2 correct also.

I have to ask this just to make sure: Did you recently switch your defaults from km to miles?

And I have to check:

I see that you have NO DISTANCE logged (only time) from between April and July (4months) - is this correct?

Mike....No

Ron......Its not right.  Could I have imported a training plan to actual?  It would have affected much more than just those months, because i've kept one training plan since February.

Do you remember about when you last did a 'copy/move/delete'?

'Imports' (at least for the BT training plans) only work into Planned training to prevent mixups...though when was the last time you imported something and what was the approximate 'to' date range?

When did you notice the totals discrepancy?

I looked into your acct a little more, I see you have two training plans that YOU made in your training plan database, the 2 '@ss kicking' plans.

If you 'Uploaded to your training' any of these two plans, your DO have the option to send it to your 'planned' or 'actual' training...even if you accidentally chose 'actual', you still would have had to put in the April to July 2007 date range, to overwrite your current training this year (my asumption of what happened)...

Does any of this follow what you were trying to do?  If this seems to be the case, if you can pinpoint the date of when you did this, we can hopefully restore it if this happened recently if the backups go back that far.

Ron, I noticed it just this week, but I couldn't tell you exactly when.  mYbe its been like that for a few weeks, but I kinda doubt it.  I haven't purposefully updated only a portion of the training plans at all.  I always load it from 2/26 which is the start date of the #2 plan.

I believe we have restored your training log from April to July from our backups.

What happened?

We looked at some log files and think that your @ss kicking training plan was copied to the April to July date range in your ACTUAL training log as everything matched perfectly.

It looks like you got it!  thanks Ron!

What happened.......I can only guess that you are right about importing the plan into actuals.

Hey Mike or Ron,

I looked back, and all of my actual mikeage from 3/7 thru 3/31 isn't showing, its only the planned training.  Is there any way that a saved file may have that blog data, and can it be loaded?

We'll be looking through the log files to see if our backups go back this far.  Though it may be too far back from when this was noticed compared to the dates you gave.  Our backups may be too recent.  Will update you whatever we find.

Steve,

We looked for this data from the Dec 2, 2007 backup and didn't find anything to restore.  Whatever happened to this data (accidentally copied over with training plan or planned to actual like the other issue) was probably noticed to late for the backups to go back that far...unless you have anymore information on any training plan immporting you may have been doing.

I have this on my list to try to eliminate the pathway to accidentally copy a 'plan' to your 'actual' log instead of the planned...maybe even more warning dialoges.  At the moment we give both choices (send plan to actual and planned training) for people 'importing' a training log from antother site or Excel file.

Though when we originally brought back your data, did you notice these days in March being affected?  As you say you usually import your @ss kicking plan on 2/26...
