Howdy team.  My name is Tim.  I plan on doing one hour on the bike trainer for each stage of the Tour.  This should be interesting cause I hate the trainer.  Not to mention, July is a busy month of racing for me.

Okay, enough excuses.  I need to go get on the trainer for today's stage.

Hey Quickstep teammies!

My name is Bill for those that don't know me.  I need to determine my goals for this but I already got a 26 miler in this morning and it was definitely longer than 15 minutes!

I won't be around for the 2nd week - I have a missions trip at church where no biking will be done but I will account for that ahead of time.

Have a great weekend and get out on your bike!

Bill!!!  Long time no, challenge chatter!  Hope things have been going well.

Hi Team!  I'm Rhoda and got "my" Stage 1 done this morning.  I started watching this afternoon and had a blast explaining it all to my 6 year old who thinks this is the coolest thing ever!  I have to finish making my cherry gelato and convince my MIL to go to bed...  then I'll get all caught spreadsheet-wise, with my wine and the end of Stage 1.  Laughing

Agreed.  Last year, my boys got into watching the Tour each morning with me.  Not only was it a lot of fun explaining the race to them, but seeing them go out to ride their bikes and pretending to be each of the riders was awesome.

Stage 2 done!  I did a shorter ride since hubby wants to ride in the morning...  We need to take advantage of babysitters (aka, grandparents) while we can!

Hi everyone. Martin here. Seems I'm the only Brit present.

I'm the Quick Step fanatic, Cat wouldn't dare put me in any other team.

Don't look for too much from our riders as they are not set up to be TdF contenders. Their main goals are the Spring Classic one day races. Watch out for Chavanel - easy to spot as he's wearing the French national champions jersey - & maybe Tom Boonen, although I fear he's past his best.

My goals - 9 stages, 360 miles. Trouble is most of mine could be mountain stages as I live very close to the Peak District National Park.
Found this link with a really good video presentation.

HERE

My one request is that we post lots of photos of our local area & where we have been riding.
Pleaseeee!

I'll start off with one of myself with one of my Quick Step jerseys on. It's an old photo as this bike has now been relegated to a winter/bad weather/training bike. I'll get out in the next few days to see what I can find.

Good luck & stay safe.

The Tour started on Sat so that's the start date. Could have done three stages so far!

Howdy Martin and Cory!

Martin - I found a british commuter I am in the process of getting ordered with the Gates Center-Track - RDA by Milk Bikes - can't wait and I represent Britain with my Luxy handlebars on one of my bikes - I will post some photos from work this week - time for breakfast.

Team Time Trail was wicked fast yesterday - I have to admit I have a man crush Fabian Cancellara - that dude is just an animal!!!!!!

Looked it up. Belt driven, hey! The one I saw had disc brakes. Looks nice.

Just thought, the Tour lasts for 23 days (2nd to 24th) so the last week's figures will be 9 days long.

Stage 3 done today...  I have to try not to fall behind since I will be away one weekend of the Tour for a wedding.

Martin, I will try to fid some good pics to post.  Sadly, too much of my riding happens on my trainer in the basement, and believe me, that's not much to look at!

OK, off to enjoy my kids kiddie pool and slip 'n' slide!

I'm matching my days with the actual stages.  So, with the 2 rest days, I will have 21 entries.  Not sure if this is right or wrong, but how I planned to do the challenge.

Stage 3 done today...

I'm envious.  I'm going to have to get stage 3 done tonight before dinner.  Not really looking forward to it... our ac went out and it is frickin' hot in our house.  Riding the trainer is going to be extra special!
