Anyone doing the DuRunRun Du on Sunday the 21st and / or Old Hickory Lakes on the 27th? I'm registered for OHL and should register for the Du tonite or tomorrow.

Great job considering the heat, wow it was brutal and I was just out for a 5 mile fun run on a greenway.

I'll be in Seattle for the Rock N' Roll 1/2 marathon up there otherwise I wouldn't miss the OHL.  I like the whole run split, makes it dicey.

Good luck to all

And I see weather.com is forecasting 97 degrees for Hendersonville this weekend.

Brutal indeed.

Ouch! I imagine the lake will be like bathwater! I'll be out there with the Acme group tomorrow (Wed) morning to swim the course a few laps.

Thanks for volunteering!  By the way, since I see you're in Hendersonville, do you know where the closest running store might be?  Looking to buy a visor, if possible, Friday night.

ACME Multisport should have visors.  Just a few miles down the road in Goodlettsville.

Brutal heat today at OHL. Spouse said the heat index was 93 or 94 at 9:10 this morning. That would be the time when I was on the 2nd run course. 13/28 in my AG; MOP. Crap! Heat sapped me (leg cramps) on the 2nd run.

There was a huge snapping turtle on the bike portion in the middle of the road near the lake. There was a volunteer directing us away from him. He was right on the center lines of the road when I went by. I thought it was a dead dog at first.  Dadgummed thing had to weigh well over 100 lbs!

What a challenging race! Anyone else do OHL?
