Subject: Sat- Aug 8th, granville hill ride.

If anyone is interested in doing a ride in the area around granville on the 8th, i would love some company.

i have a race there that starts at 9:30 i think in the morning, so thinking a mid-afternoon ride- 1-2 range?

we can go as fast/slow as people like, i just need to get some time in, thinking 2-3 hours, but can do less, or make two loops (lot of areas around there where we can do two 14-20 mile loops back by the cars without issue).

if anyone would like to come i would love some company.

depending on who shows up/how long we want to ride, no not that bad.

the stuff right around granville is a lot like the AM course minus thompson hill and the big one at the end.

if people want to do a bit of a longer ride, there is a 50 (or just under) mile loop we can do from the school that will take us on a few hills like TTT but on smoother roads, and rolling the rest of the way.

I think Chris should come do the triathlon so she can get her legs warmed up! Glad to see you're going to be back again this year David. If you make that turn around correctly this year, you have a good shot at winning!

Sorry I can't ride, but I've got a 18 mile run Sunday, so a ride Saturday after the tri probably wouldn't be very smart. Just curious, what's your 50 mile loop here? I've been doing Loudon out to Sportsmans Club both directions for some good hill work.

the longer loop we leave from denison, head out hte bike path through newark, out past the basket factory, and then do a loop out in the country that goes through flint ridge park.

if you would like, let me know and i'll mapmyride the part once you get to newark.

David, I'd love to but I just can't this weekend. But have a great race int he morning and a good ride/run in the afternoon. I am still blaming you for the heat.

i think i may do the run and save the ride for sun.

i can do a hilly trail run right off campus, and then worry abotu the race wheel switching after i get home.

longerish ride on sun should be good.

should be a fun race, SLOW bike course, i think i had the fastest split two years ago and last year at like 21 and 22 MPH (might have been a hair slower).

Brochure says registration is 8-9 and Start is 9:30. Who knows with this guy though. Definitely not the most organized or best run triathlon. I still love doing it though.
