I have the Garmin 405 and love being able to get all the data but I hate the touch bezel.  I was reading up on the 910 and it says it can be used for a three sports.  Changing from biking to running with the touch bezel can be a real trick if you're trying to do it in transition.  The GPS on the open water swims would be nice.  I was just wondering if anyone had any input before I drop $400 on a watch.

DC Rainmaker has a full review of it, and all the Garmins.  If you haven't seen his site before you will be blown away by the details he puts in.

However, the 910 is not yet available.  Last i heard it will be out in March.

I have the 610, and it is very nice for all 3 sports.  The 910 however will be good for pool swimming as well.  If I could get a 910 I would, but a 610 will be/ is cheaper.

I live in a place where I'm lucky enough to do Garmin testing, so I've had some limited experience using it in the pool.  So far, I love it and will be getting it when it's available, but like I said, I've only used it in the pool so far.

You won't find many people that have used it yet though, given it hasn't actually been released.

If you really want a good review on it, check out dcrainmaker's blog.

From the comments on his blog

"Regarding 'production delay notices'. I've been in near daily contact with the Garmin team on this, including over the past few days. There remains no widespread delays in shipment, despite what companies are saying. Orders will be fulfilled across all companies (big and small) - and are planned to start here in the next few days as we near the end of the month. However, as previously noted, there's significant demand. So if you just placed your order now (or, if more importantly - you're distributor just placed their order - regardless of when you placed it) - it will be delayed.

Understand, I'm merely the messenger here - though Garmin's messenging for 'end of November' has been pretty constant. And technically, it's always been 'Q4 2011'."

I have one ordered too and have an estimated delivery date of 13 December. I am really looking forward to using it. I have the 405 too but with switching over from mostly running to starting tri's I went ahead and ordered the 910.

I have the 310XT and it is head and shoulders above the 405 for mulitsport.  The 910 is supposed to be better than the 310.  I suspect you will be able to get the 310 for about half the price of the 910 when it comes out.

I got to hold a 910 at a marathon expo a couple weeks ago.  It is a nice watch and is smaller than the 310, but not remarkably smaller.

My first Tri for 2012 is March 24th and as long as I see it by March 15th I am happy.  I guess I will be selling my 405 then but I suspect it won't be worth much.
