Subject: Japanese cure for nose bleeds?Last night my (very-small-for-his-age) 12 year-old son was playing indoor 3v3 soccer against some 10th graders. One of the big kids cracked off a terrific shot, and my son took one for the team, stopping it with his face. Of course, his nose started bleeding. The opposing coach ran over and took control. She had him lay flat on his back, legs and feet together, toes pointing up. Then, using the side of her foot, she kicked him ("hard, not love taps" on the bottom of his feet five times. The bleeding stopped immediately. He literally jumped up and got back into the game as if nothing had happened, and there were no residual effects (spot bleeding, clotting, draining down his throat, etc.). She said it was a Japanese technique. I've never heard of it, but it sure worked. Anybody ever hear of this? |
