Try it now. I put in your city/state in the 'other' location area in the control panel.  Seemed to work.

Looks like a bug nonetheless as it should bring up the US if nothing is configured.

We fixed this.  If a user doesn't have their city/state specified in their control panel, it should now default to the US instead of a blank screen.

Thanks, Ron.

I was able to enter a short running loop through my neighborhood, and everything worked fine.  When I entered a 25 mile out-and-back path, it hung up when calculating the the "and-back" portion.  I don't know what the exact issue was.

Did you get a dialog box saying 'a script is causing your browser to run slow' or anything?

Depending on the amount of points and the length of the route, it could be a slow process to chug that data...are you sure it hanged or it was just taking a long time to process?

Let me know.

Regardless, marmadaddy is working on V2 that we should have up in a month where the calculations will be significantly faster hopefully eliminating your problem with the long route.

I got that box, and I clicked to continue working and I went out for my run.  When I came back to it after about an hour, it did not appear to have done anything, but I just left it anyway.  About 30 minutes or so later, I got a "not responding" message.  Truthfully, I don't know if it was truly hung up, or just exceedingly slow, but what was showing on the screen had not changed in over 90 minutes.

Can I edit the route after it is saved or will I have to delete the route and start again?  My route saved on March 1st is not showing the correct elevation (I may have been double clicking like in gmap-pedometer, so my fault) and I would like to undo part of my route and see if that was the problem.

Thanks,
Erin

Not yet, Erin, but it's coming in the next version. It will also have a 'reset' elevation button to requery the elevation service.

Thanks for the quick reply Ron. Now I am the first to admit I am not great at computers so it is probably something I am not doing correctly but this is what I am doing:

In my log I click on the globe
Then I click on create route
It then says it is "generating map" but it doesn't....and at the bottom of the page it says "done". I have left it with that message for a few minutes with nothing happening - I'll leave it now saying that whilst I go and do something else!

thanks
Jackie
