Just to make you feel better, I'll detail my day so far.

Woke up late, but still wanted to get a bike ride in.
Watched the winds steadily increase as DH pissed around the house and didn't get ready to ride.
DH made the call to ride tomorrow instead.
Continued to surf internet.
Went out to check gopher traps.  Caught TWO today. Reset traps.
While coming down from the top field, the dog rolled in some poop of undetermined origin.
Washed the dog.
Now I'm getting ready to eat some chili and watch Olympics.
Then it's back outside for mowing.  Our "front yard" is about 3 acres.  We do a lot of mowing.

Don't you wish you were me?

Nope, not all of it...some of us are not training and passing the time reading posts about not training....

Don't you folks need a bit of rain down there, though? Friends in Montgomery have complained about two dry years in a row...My folks in Atlanta could use some of that stuff...

i totally skipped my 18miler this morning.

i opted to lay on the couch. and do nothing but clean and get organized.

i have not lifted a finger yet.

quite honestly I'd rather throw my fridge out the window then clean it.

<---hate cleaning the fridge

I'm on call, which means I spent the last 7 hours seeing 30 inpatients at the psych unit.  I have to take ER calls, and see any urgent consults, which means I won't be able to do anything as far as training. Unless I get on the trainer or treadmill, and keep my cell handy.  And the weather is perfect today.

And I get to do it again tomorrow.

While were on the subject - I am recovering from minor surgery yesterday while my tri club is out riding 40 miles today. I am out of the pool for 3 weeks and off the bike and run for about 8. All I can do is begin to plan out my 2009 season - of which there are not many registration sites available online.

I am going to go nuts - but the good news is that no post on BT will go unread by me!

I'm sitting here two weeks post-bike-crash with a broken shoulder unable to train as well. And my husband is getting his gear ready for the century he's riding tomorrow, which I was registered for. I'll have to settle for a trainer session But I'm watching the triathlon world championships so it's a bit of consolation.
