Subject: Copy workout on planned training

I am trying to copy my planned M W and F swim workouts as well as my planned Tues and Thurs bike workouts on my planned training customized schedule instead of having to go into the planned and go day by day.  What am I doing wrong? I went to the copy/move/delete and picked the range of days being 5/14/2012 thru 9/28/2012 and then said copy my swim and bike workouts it told me it could take some time but then nothing happened.

Jenn,

Sorry for the delay, Mother's day had me working. 

Anyways, if you go to your Calendar, then use the 'copy/move/delete' link THEN click on the 'BY DAY' tab (not 'by date'), it should do what you want. 

Can you confirm that you used the 'BY DAY' tab?

I did not try the by day because I want to keep them on Monday's weds and Fridays for the swim and Tuesday and Thursday for the bike looked like by day I was moving the workout from a Monday to a different day? I will try this and keep move from Monday to Monday when i get to my main computer in the am. Thanks

Ok I tried the day thing and as I expected it did not work due to the fact that my swim is listed on a M W F in just one week but I want to copy it to M W F for the next 21 weeks so it told me that you cant have the same data on the same date or something along that matter.  Maybe if I copy the Weds from one week to every monday?? and the Monday to every Weds??? I will attempt this and let you know if that works

Nope I selected yesterdays swim workout and said move from monday to weds and had a start date of yesterday with an end date of Sept 28th. Yesterdays swim workout disappeared and I cant find it on my schedule....didnt try it with Wed or Fridays that is scheduled.

I may have misunderstood you, when you said the above, are you trying to copy this BLOCK of workouts (swim and bike) and put them somewhere AFTER 9/28/2012?

I am trying to copy my swim and bike planned workouts from one week to every week there after until 9/28 - leaving my run schedule alone

Pretty much, I want my running plan to stay the same but I want to put in the same swim on M W F and the same Bike on Tues and Thursday since I am basically training for a 100K my run plan is set just wanted to make myself see a bike and swim on the schedule so when I throw in some half ironmans during the training I am sorta prepared :-)  If my plan shows some swimming and biking I am more apt to do it.

I want every monday weds and friday to have a 25 min swim on the schedule and every Tues and Thur have a 2 hour bike but I would like to keep the running exactly as the plan calls for.

It's done.

Essentially I put the swim back in for this past Monday, copied this week to next (checking swim and bike only).  I repeated this until I got 4 weeks of swim/bikes.  Then I copied the 4 week blocks (swim and bike only) to July, August and September. It is an iterative process, but it only took about 5 minutes should you need to do it again.
