Anyone know what the water temp in Bangs Lake is lately? The Oly is next Sunday and I'm just curious...do most participants use a wetsuit for that race?

It's over 70. I did the sprint last week, and maybe 1/2 the people had wetsuits on. You don't need one for warmth, but it will help you float.

Thanks! For some reason, I didn't get the race email. I just registered yesterday, so maybe that's why.

Thanks! I was wondering about parking...so I'm glad you posted this info. I'll be picking my packet up on Friday at Running Away, since I have an appointment that day, with a swim coach not too far from there.

Forgot to ask...do they do the body-marking at the packet pick-up...or on race morning? Or are we responsible for doing that ourselves?

Race Morning at 99.999% of triathlon. They will have people with sharpies

Don't body mark the night before....you'll leave numbers all over your sheets.

According to the race website on water temp...

"The swim will be in beautiful, clear Bangs Lake with expected water temperatures to be between 74 and 78 degrees."

Ok, so you are not insane. I was wondering what the heck you're doing racing a full OLY right after a marathon!

How did you find out which wave you're in? My swim cap is white, but nothing in my race packet indicates which wave I'm starting in. Where can I find this info out?
