i just checked your logs....i see them...i loaded your feb training stats...the graphs always took a few seconds to load as they compiled data...if you are scrolling a lot during the loading, i have noticed (even before the change) that that can prevent it from loading correctly.

try it again, let me know if it was a specific graph/time period and i will look into it more.

I must be dense here. I can't FIND the graph button anymore!!

Since I'm here (lost), I was wondering if "rollover" text on the icons next to calendar might be useful?

thanks

Are some of the new users being restricted from using graphs? The only reason I ask is because I got my Dad to sign up on here. We did 1 test day of data so I could show him how to work the graphs. When he clicked on the graphs link it went to a sign up for a membership page...this was pre BT skins change and I was guessing that maybe only 1 day of data may have caused it too.

fyi...his log-in is dennyshaw

his graphs work...he has 'total volume' and 'total distance' available.

upon clicking on the graphs, it will default to total volume where i see the run data he inputed.

he may not have the java applet enabled in his browser if it was on his computer...see my faq here:

http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=10321&posts=1

pull his name up in your blog list (freinds list) in your training control panel and go to his log to see if you see it on your computer.

I must be dense here. I can't FIND the graph button anymore!!

This issue (not finding buttons) goes right along with the other new thread "toolbar placement". The visual separation of functional links from pretty stuff (photos & ads) makes it more difficult to navigate until the new locations are "learned". Especially confusing for a new user to the site.

Nikki, you are not dense, and no need to say "duh!" when you're shown (described) where the new button is located. Redesign of the redesign will be helpful. I would be happy to try and draft a sketch, Ron.

no, not the others and it should be noted in his graph selection dropdown...3 months ago we grandfathered all the existing members to continue using ALL the graphs free and then restricted the others.

if you want a blow-by-blow of the current log features per level, see:

were working on it adventurebear, going to slim-down the top area for forum/logs and maybe other areas per yours and others comments (which are very grateful by the way)...we just have to get some outstanding training log bug issues resolved first...we will try to have it done by this weekend...

the new design was never intended to be IT...think of it as a 1.0 version.  Dropping it on the entire BT community is the only way to effectively gauge what works and what doesnt and what needs changed...so you have all been very useful lab rats this week and to that i thank you.

I'm extremely grateful Ron, thanks!!! Looks like my Dad just missed the boat...now I've got converting people to BT before another rapture on my mind. EVERYONE JOIN NOW, I want to see you on the other side!!!

All joking aside, you’ve got a lot going here Ron, and a lot of people can thank you for providing a place that offers insight, hope, and answers to questions while being able to track their progress. I for one, who’s addicted, can’t get enough of being able to look at my past and to know that the future has so much more to offer. Thanks!!!

For what it's worth, Ron, the training logs totally rule, and are the whole reason I got to BT in the first place. I was actually readying up to write my own application and a fortuitous google search landed me here. I have several times sat down to become a bona fide PAYING member, but couldn't find my credit card info. You see, I'm very disorganized, so a site like BT makes my training go much more smoothly...in fact, it probably wouldn't go at all if I couldn't log in and see my progress. So thank you, thank you, thank you...I probably don't say it enough! And yes, I will find my credit card...it's around here somewhere...
