Subject: RE: 2K Price Point Tri Bike for Tall Men PollMeats - 2011-01-27 11:30 PM To all of the fit first buy a bike that supports fit people: I would love to have that option but excuse a) I'm a broke grad student living on assistant salary and this money is the work of lots of hustling on my part so paying the 100-200 on a fit really hurts. After I grad and have some cash flow I promise all of you I will get a proper fit and buy that special tri bike just for me. excuse b) I live in BFE, its drive 2 hours to felt shop, 2 hours other direction to Specialized shop, or order online without a precision fit (Gasp!) To everyone else thank you for your opinions and following directions! It looks like a trip the Felt shop to do some negotiating. So, get a $200 fit done and by a used (Gasp! ) bike for $1800 (which, BTW, will buy you much "more" bike than a $2k new one ). Sorry for not following directions. I have this streak in me that preferes to try to give good advice, even when not wanted. Gets me in trouble sometimes... |
