Subject: RE: Ft. Collins Club Tri Roll CallHmmm. I don't remember all that stuff on the walls, but that wasn't really my focus then either. Basically, they set up the pool with 18, 25-yard lanes. There's also a small area down at the end near the start, about 4 lane widths or so, to jump in and warm up. Anyway, as everyone lines up according to race number (you'll get it at registration pick-up ), you'll hop in the water 2 or 3 at a time, whoever's in front (by number still ) will duck under the lane, he'll confirm your name/number, count down and you're off. Swim down the 25 yards, touch the wall, duck under the rope and come back down in the next lane. Just keep moving over lane by lane until you've done it 18 times! It's really pretty easy. In the start, as one person takes off, another will get in the water. There's a ladder at the water exit that feeds you right to the door. Once you go through the door you're in the transition area, and more importanly, just glad that the swim part is over! |
