Subject: Lance and Sheryl

One of our local radio stations said Lance and Sheryl are on the outs. Anyone else hear this?

From Y98 FM...

Sheryl Crow is denying that she's been going to fertility clinics and that she and Lance Armstrong tied the knot already. She says they're still planning their wedding, although E! Online Gossip Columnist Ted Casablanca claims that Lance broke up with Sheryl over Christmas. When asked if they would get married in Missouri (Sheryl's family lives in Kennett) or Lance's home in Texas, Sheryl said, "neither."

Oh, and I found the E! story....

Could there be another tour?

There won't be another Tour. Lance is so fed up with and pissed off with the French, he may never step foot in the country again.

If this is true, is it really a surprise to anyone?

I am a Lance fan because of his drive, ambition, and ability. However, the charachter traits that make him great probably don't work real well in most relationships. Reading many of the books both by and about him have led me to believe he is probably tough to hang out with on anything more than a short term basis.

Thanks, morey. I agree 100% but have been afraid to say so since Lance is so godlike to people in our little hobby. I admire him as an athlete, but I don't think I would enjoy spending any time with him outside of a cycling context.

I hope there's not another tour for him. Let someone else shine for awhile- let there be some drama and excitement in this years Tour!

Morey and hk94, thanks for saying this. I have thought the same thing for a long time but, like you said, he's so "god-like" to so many people, they act like it's blasphemy. I agree that the same traits that make him a champion athlete (being a self-centered asshole), probably make him not a very good husband/boyfriend/friend. After reading his autobiography where he talked about his fight with cancer and first tour, I ended the book thinking that I admired his accomplishments, but wouldn't walk across the street to meet him in person.

ummmmmmmmmm

WHO CARES???

People have personal lives.  Only interesting from the standpoint of will he do another tour.  And I think the answer is a big fat NO.

You're right. I was at the beauty salon last night and flipped through an "Us" magazine. As I read the celebrity gossip (and "celebrity" can be a subjective term) I thought "who cares". Really. I'm too busy living my own life to care about J Lo or Nicole Richie or Paris Hilton or Brittney or any other celebirty's personal life.

I agree, who cares, I mean he's a has been. LOL, did they ever think it might be him that's infertile with one nut and all. Sorry, I just had to say it. I have a demented sense of humor.

Since I read his first book ages ago I've always secretly thought "wow, he's a jacka55", but I too, was afraid to come clean publicly.

"My name is Leslie, and I don't like Lance Armstrong as a person".

"Hello, Leslie!"

So nice to have a support group.

subjectivity at its peak!

anyone that is famous, or hell anyone that writes an autobiography is going to come across a tad narcissistic. equally so anyone that does a deed we deem admirable somehow becomes "friendly" in our mind. thus the conflict. part of us loves Lance like a brother, part of us thinks "He-Man Woman Hater". heres to those lucky few of us just don't give a shit.

I don't think Lance reads my logs to see if I'm dating, whether MrImnotready has gotten over his fear of "the power of you" (me) or whether I've met any 20something boys lately. And I do likewise for Lance. We have a mutual ignore relationship.
