Who do you got?

It seems to be coming down to a war of attrition, with Manzeil, Petty and Mariota doing all they can to give the trophy to someone else.

Winston will be out if the legal hammer drops.

It is starting to look like McCarron might have a shot, but I still have to feel that if you are going to say he is the best player in college football, then Alex Smith might be the NFL MVP. Not making mistakes and playing behind a great defense and running game doesn't make you the best player in the country.

If Braxton Miller had stayed healthy, he would have had a shot, but the injury killed his chances.

I have to say, at this point its still wide open.

What do you think?

If a defensive player is truly to be considered, I'll put in my homer vote for Aaron Donald. Numbers don't lie and Suh got the trip to NYC.

When you play on a 6-5 team that has the 59th ranked defense, numbers won't win you a Heisman.

If winning the award means we get to see an appearance from his girlfriend, without a doubt I'm rollin' with AJ McCarron. No competition. Musberger was right.

It's Winston's to lose now. If not him I'd like to see BC rb get some love. 2000 yards and has a chance to finish with a top 5 all time season.

x2 on this. That chick is a stone cold fox.

She'll be my next wife, she doesn't know it yet but it could happen.

If FSU runs the table Winston will win it. Last week's game vs LSU may have taken Johnny Football out of the running.

It could be anyone at this point. Seems like a bunch of guys are going out of their way to get out of the discussion. NIU QB, Jordan Lynch is my darkhorse candidate. The fella is a blast to watch. I get that he hasn't had a ton of competition. but who has been more consistent other than Winston?

I'd love to see a defensive guy win it. If not this year, then when?

Winston may be out even if the legal hammer doesn't drop. The final decision needs to be clear, concise and convincing that he did nothing. If not, some voters may not give him their vote because it may look like he was given a pass because of his position on a top team. If he gets a full and complete release on the legal issues I think it is his. If he should be charged based on the evidence, I hope he is and justice is served.

If he is tainted at all, watch out for AJ. Voters may jump to him because most of the others have given plenty of excuses not to vote for them and he has done a good solid job without all the flash, his girlfriend notwithstanding.
