Subject: RE: So, what now?I'm in a very similar place training wise. This past year was what I would call my first race season with 4 sprints. I had some training issues, but I really want to build off this year and go into next year strong. That said, I'm dealing with mild planter fasciitis and I'm looking forward to some rest & recovery.
I'm still flushing out the details, but my plan looks like this (if anyone more experienced wants to critique, please do. I'm open to sugestions. )
- Last race for the season
- 1/2 - 1 week active recovery
- 2 weeks no planned training
- ~3 weeks casual exercise (social bike rides, join my wife at the gym, etc. )
- 9 weeks return to training schedule @ low intensity, low volume. Focus on individual sport form & mechanics in 3 week blocks.
- 5 weeks ramp up volume to Olympic distance training plan.
- 8 weeks Olympic distance training plan. Edited by riles32807 2018-09-11 10:37 AM
