I never do this. I never go looking for tidbits on movies and such. But I cannot wait for the book to come out in 3 nights! So, I found this amusing story about the actor who plays Lucius Malfoy (was also a baddie in The Patriot).

Jason wants to be in next Potter

 

Actor Jason Isaacs, familiar to Harry Potter fans as nasty wizard Lucius Malfoy, is upset that he won't be joining the rest of the cast in the next wizarding instalment.

His character is absent from Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, which is due to start filming later this year, for cinema release in 2008.

"Heartbreakingly Lucius is not in the sixth Harry Potter book," he said. "He's in prison all the way through. So this Friday night when the last book comes out, I will be elbowing children out of the way to find out if I'm in number seven."

And Isaacs is certainly hoping he will be. "With most of my roles, I experience unnecessary torture trying to get things three dimensional, and complex and human.

"What a joy it is every now and again, to put a wig on as Malfoy and throw all that to the wind and wonder round and chew the scenery up with some of my favourite actors in the world," he said.
