Boulder Peak triathlon- race photos, would you be interested?

While I think your photos are amazing, $12-15 dollars on one photo is still pretty pricey for me. Especially since I don't really display my race photos. I would totally be willing to buy a small thumbnail pic. for an avatar (I think this was talked about a lot on the BT main thread!).

i have a thread going on the main page. and the other option i was thinking (as i cant really go much under 12ish and have it be worth a lot of time, is offering something in the 600x400pix range (this is a normal screen sized photo that idisplay on my blog, or one that would fill an online post but be way too small to print in the $5 range.

I'm sure I wouldn't spend $12 (as I haven't spent that amount in the past). I might be tempted at $5 even if it was in lower resolution (that's fine with me). I am also thinking that my wife will be at the event so she'll be taking some pictures so, to some extent, your pictures would have to have $5 worth of value over my wife's pictures. That may be hard to achieve.

I always look at the photos but only bought one so far.  It was my 1st HIM -- a fridge magnet w/ the race and year on it.  Don't know if I would buy one again, even tho hubby sux at taking race photos and is usually too busy volunteering anyway.

On the other hand, if $12 meant I could download it and make copies (don't know why I'd want to do that) w/o copyright issues, I'd consider it. 

yes you would be able to do what you wanted with the file.

my experince has been that the few people that do get race photos never come back to order a 2nd, iand frankly neither would i.

most people (myself included) want a copy to put online, on here, email to their friends, facebook, etc.

to me having a file sold once might mean more sales for me, and get the athlete more what they are looking for.

this is still very much an ongoing process and trying to feel things out a bit.

I would buy a picture from you. I've seen your photos linked from Slowtwitch and they are great!

Did you happen to get a slow moving #1141 yesterday?

i missed a huge chunk of the age group race due to some issues, i had my mem cards in a seperate case from my camera, sat down next to transition to get everything sorted out, heard a crunch, and turned around to see some little kid standing on their case! after a quick freak out, her mom paid for the cards, i ran out, searched boulder frantically and found two new ones, got back, and got some of the age group raec and the pro race covered. will see what i can find from the AG stuff

If you plan on shooting the long course I would be happy to pay you for the pic. The pics on ST are great!

If i get a bit more interest i will try and cover as much of the age group race as i can, this weekend i had a bit of "tech" issues (little kid stepped on my box of cards and i had to scramble to find some new ones).

what waves were you guys in?
