But I'll wager that those kids KNEW what they were doing and what was going to happen. Sure, they were under twelve. But at that age you know what is right and what is wrong. At least when it comes to the simpler things like physical violence. Now the disturbing part comes when you ask them if they were sorry about what they did. Another example: I think it was on Toronto, can't recall, a 12 yr old brutilly stabbed 13yr old over some little insignificant incident. He KNEW what he was doing, he KNEW that it wasn't right. Best part, zero remorse. I agree, what were they thinking? |

Bad parenting is definitely on the forefront, but at 12 years old one certainly understands the difference between right and wrong. Or, if nothing else, that lighting people on fire probably isn't an acceptable after-school activity. Charge the parents, charge the kids, and be damn sure to punish both. |
