My coach is getting a training ride together...all are welcome.  Details below. PM me if you are interested.

Hello Tri-Freddie athletes.  Everyone is deep into the racing season.  Several have asked about doing a group ride in the hills in Clermont.  On Sat. Aug 9th I will be organizing a group ride to ride the hills in Clermont.  The ride will begin at 8:30 am in Clermont.  This will be a great strength building ride and will be good practice for those competing in the FL. Challenge Triathlon in Clermont in late October.  Let me know if you are interested and then I will forward details of meeting location.  We will be parking at a park and then riding a continuous 10 mile "figure 8" loop.  We will be riding the Buckhill Road part (which has 4 steep hills) and every loop will tackle Sugarloaf Mountain Road.  All level of riders are welcome.  There will probably be a couple groups with different paces.  It is a great loop to learn and very easy to follow.  Please let me know if you are interested in attending this group ride.  If you have friends that want to join in please pass the  word.

I know of at least one group that is planning seven loops for 70+ miles.

My scheduled ride that day is 70 miles.  I'm not sure I want to do Sugarloaf 7 times though.  I may change my route a bit and do the half iron course instead with 2 loops of sugarloaf.

I think I'll definitely make it out for this. I agree I don't want to do Sugarloaf 7 times but my schedule calls for 80 miles so I'd consider 70+ ok considering the hills.

Any ideas on replenishing fluids? I'm assuming we could stash stuff in our cars and stop after so many loops to fill up.

Also, what kinds of speeds are we looking at?

There is water at the top of Sugarloaf all the time.

As soon as Coach emails me the final info, I will post it.  Looking forward to meeting ya'll! There will likely be two groups, the fast, hill climbing folks and me.

Ben, I agree with you.

For those of you who don't know me.  I own a white Nissan Xterra.  I will be in the parking lot probably around 8?  So just come up and say hi.  Not sure what I'll be wearing.

Jeff

Ok kids, I have to ride 80, and 8 repeats of Sugarloaf did not make my list of fun, so...I'm gonna get there around 0615 or so and ride 30 or so miles, then meet up with coach at 0830.  If anyone wants to come early, feel free to come on out.  I drive a carbon metallic Expedition EL, ride a purty blue swirly Cannondale IM800 bike.  Or just call me.
