Woodstock in May could be awfully chilly.

I live in woodstock and friends of mine started swimming in pittock earlier than that this year.  Makes me definitely want to do welland instead of peteborough if it is going to be even a week earlier - Peterborough is so dang hot, but I need the hill training for Wisconsin.

The water should be fine as it is a very shallow lake and MultiSport Zone was swimming there this year even earlier.

I did the woodstock sprint last year without a wetsuit, it wasn't that bad.  I don't recall the temperature but if you do have a wetsuit you will be fine.  Other than the water is was great running and cycling weather.

Is it my imagination or have Bala and Cobourg changed dates since this thread started?

Not that I'm complaining, as it works into the schedule in an awesome way for me.

And if you didn't read the Subaru 2012 thread, there is now Huronia on the list.

I think you may be right. I don't know where Bala was on the list before but Cobourg has moved up a couple weeks into late July.

Well looking at Ahare's map from the other thread, Bala was July 28/29.

Hey everyone, Yes we had to flip Bala and Cobourg as there was a major event that bumped us in Cobourg. The thing is we are happier with the schedule this way. Also Huronia is on our schedule and not Subaru.

Just curious, why is the online registration processing fee so high?

Some rates are as high as 15% (what it costs for $20.01).

Why isn't it a flat rate?

Question. Will there be live updating throughout the season for the AG Series Points? Also, in the points distribution table, does the placing column represent Overall or AG placing? Thanks.

I am not sure what you mean when you ask about "live updating". Please clarify and I can respond. Otherwise, yes, the results are posted by age group.

All I can suggest is that you ask the question of Events Online and the other online registration companies. If you would like to avoid online registration fees you can always download the registration form, complete it and mail it in. No fee for that!

What I meant by 'live updating' was, will athletes be able to see the points rankings as the season progresses, or will it be announced at the end after Lakeside? Now that I think about it, I guess it makes sense that athletes know where they stand before the season ends since Lakeside serves as the tie-breaker.

We plan on updating the results for the series points after every third race.

We swam Pittock (Woodstock) up to 4 weeks out from the race and the water was plenty 'warm' enough.

Water quality and the number of fishies however, that concerns me more. yuck.

We take our water quality policy very seriously. We are the only series to have such a policy. Pittock is absolutely fine until mid-July and it is the reason we have the race in June. Fish in the water is an indication of a healthy lake.
