I am in the last 2 weeks of training for a 4.1/29/4.1 duathlon. I noticed there is no weight training in the workouts. Is this correct? If so, what is the reason.
It's part of the tapering process. During these two weeks of your training you're not going to be building any more strength. The hay is in the barn so to speak. Any strength work you do now wouldn't pay off until after the race. At this point, you're looking to decrease volume but keep intensity up to allow your body to go into of an extended recovery period to be ready for race day.
