This past July, Christine 'Lucy' Rusher, a wonderful, well loved member of the BT community passed away suddenly after a very brief illness. She left behind a loving husband and two young sons. Christine was a long time, active member of BT and her illness and passing tremendously shocked and saddened many of us. 

To honor her memory, celebrate her life, express our joy for having known her and our sorrow for having lost her, BeginnerTriathlete.com and Endurance Planet are producing a special "BeginnerTriathlete of the Month" podcast.

The podcast will consist of your memories of Christine, your thoughts on what transpired this summer, how you'll remember her. Even if you had never met Christine, but were touched somehow by her life or by the circumstances of her death, please take a minute to record your thoughts for this podcast. I can't think of better way to memorialize someone.

To record a message to be included in the podcast, call 206-339-7780. You don't have to identify yourself, although you certainly can. The recordings will automatically be e-mailed to Kevin at Endurance Planet who will then compile them into a montage.

Yes, this is "just a web forum" and it is "just the internet". But it can be, and frequently is, a vehicle for wonderful things; for inspiring, deep, and very meaningful connections, actions, and personal transformations. Christine embodied this in many ways. We hope that those of you who can will take a few minutes to help us honor, in your own voice, the wonderful spirit of Christine Rusher.

I know the idea of this is hard for many of you, but we could really use some more submissions.

They don't need to be long or overly descriptive. Even a few seconds describing a favorite memory, or a specific Inspire Me you received from her would be wonderful.
